One of Switzerland’s most famous children’s book is called “A bell for Ursli” (in Swiss German: Schellenursli). The book tells the story about a boy who lives in the Engadine mountains in Switzerland. All through the summer in the Engadine Mountains of Switzerland the cattle feed in the mountain meadows, carrying bells round their necks. The calves have little bells and the cows have big ones. When we lived in Switzerland, our children Ruben und Ben would love the story of Ursli and his bell. That is one of the reasons why we brought four copies of the book with us when we moved from Switzerland to Australia.
